At the Moment

A lot of my blogger idols do “Currently” posts where they list off all the things they’re currently eating, reading, loving, you know, stuff like that. I sat down to write a serious post but didn’t feel like it so I’m going to do (my version of) a Currently post instead! Hip hip, hooray.

I’ve been currently eating Triple O’s Sunny Start breakfast sandwiches and if it’s after 11am, their Bacon Cheddar burger. I think it’s a Canadian thing, so for everyone else, here are some stolen photos:

See that sauce puddled onto the bottom bun(s)? It’s called Triple O Sauce, and let me tell you, it’s an appropriate name.

I’ve been currently watching The Mindy Project. I know, I know… it’s not popular anymore. But it’s perfect mindless entertainment–something I desperately need in my life, a life otherwise filled with huge decisions, adulting left right and centre, trauma after issue after ordeal and sometimes? I just need to tell my brain to fuck off.

I’ve been currently dealing with fleas. I’ve had cats my entire life and not once have any of them ever had fleas. But Brandy has them. Well, she had them, and then I went ballistic, rolled up all our carpeting and tossed it, dumped anti-flea medication all over her and prayed for an exorcism. It worked! Until I didn’t realize that I was supposed to give her the medication once per month for a minimum of four months. So, here we are all over again.

I’ve been currently ordering these things on Amazon:

Nursing bras, the book Madness: A Bipolar Life, and the book Stop Walking On Eggshells.

I’ve been currently obsessed with the Arizona weather, because Andrew and I are going down there for 3 nights, 4 days in April to run a half marathon. We stare gloomily out our window and then scroll through the forecast for Phoenix and wished we were there already.

I’ve been currently needing to figure out what’s wrong with my GI tract. I’ve been having super bad cramps and I have no idea why. No diarrhea, I am nowhere near constipated, and I can’t even fart. Just cramps in my stomach and all along my intestines. Frig. I’ll have to talk to the doctor about it when I see her next.

What are you guys currently watching, needing, eating, dealing with or obsessed with?

  • Sheila March 23, 2017, 7:38 pm

Me and knee are watching my friends kick ass in the trails, I’m needing to stand on top of a mountain rain, shine or snow, I’m eating colourful food, I’m dealing with tight pants(knee is aware of this) and I’m obsessed with pruning.

Hope you get some GI relief ASAP! Happy Baby Building!

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com March 24, 2017, 8:58 am

Dude. That was random. I love it. I’m so sorry about your knee pain though. DANG! I hope you get to the top of that mountain STAT.

  • Helly March 23, 2017, 7:44 pm

I wish you were here already too ♡

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com March 24, 2017, 8:58 am

      It’s getting close!!! EEEEEEEEKKKK!!!

  • Lisa @ Mile by Mile March 24, 2017, 1:47 am

Arizona will be such a nice getaway for you! I love the weather there, although the summers can get ridiculously hot.

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com March 24, 2017, 8:56 am

We went down there during the summer a couple of years ago and it was a scorcher!

  • Susie @ Suzlyfe March 24, 2017, 4:01 am

SO DID THEY FIGURE IT OUT?? I hope you are ok.

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com March 24, 2017, 8:56 am

It’s looking like a poo obstruction. My Friday night is going to be epic.

Currently watching Crossroads with Spears….working on Construction Heath Safety Tech exam prep in a hotel in West Virginia

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com March 24, 2017, 8:56 am

I’ve never seen Crossroads, and I love Britney. I need to watch that!!! Thanks for the reminder! You travel so much; I’m jealous. I doubt I could even find West Virginia on a map.

  • Ana March 24, 2017, 6:53 am

Ok.. here comes Concerned Ana… Please tell me that somebody else has been putting on the flee meds on the cat! Free medicine is one of those very toxic things that could cause harm during a pregnancy.

Does that Burger really have a sliced pickle on top of it? it looks delicious!!

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com March 24, 2017, 8:54 am

Well… I did it. But I didn’t get ANY on my hands and I washed my hands like crazy. Eeeek!

  • Amy Lauren March 24, 2017, 6:57 am

I’ve been to Phoenix! It was a work trip and I didn’t get to explore much but it seems like a nice city. I have never heard of that restaurant but it’s unique that there’s a pickle on top of the burger…

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com March 24, 2017, 8:53 am

I’m so used to the pickles on top of their burgers that I didn’t realize how weird it is!

  • Gretchen March 24, 2017, 8:00 am

I’ve been having those same cramps lately! It feels so painful, like I’m going to burst. I’ve been taking gas medicine (so sexy right) which has really been helping. I think it’s because i’ve had dairy a few times this week and it’s making me feel awful. I hope you feel better soon.

Currently watching tennis duh, because it’s another big tournament! Can’t get enough.

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com March 24, 2017, 8:53 am

I thought about taking gas medication. My friend who is a labour and delivery nurse told me she thinks that I may have a partial obstruction so I took a stool softener this morning and now I’m sitting around waiting for the big show.

  • Laura @ This Runner's Recipes March 24, 2017, 9:32 am

I hope you figure out the cause of the cramps and feel better soon! Like Gretchen, high lactose foods used to give me cramps like that – and once I cut out milk and cream (still eating cheese and yogurt), I stopped having the cramps. I really hope the pain goes away for you!
I’m currently dealing with a very minor case of plantar fasciitis and my head is exploding with worry about it ever getting worse. It’s probably worse now that I’m actually thinking about it.

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com March 24, 2017, 12:30 pm

      Go get those Birks!!

  • Megan @ Meg Go Run March 24, 2017, 10:18 am

Aw, poor Brandy! Fleas! It happens to the best kitties. One of my kitties had them years and years ago. I used Frontline (is that what you use?) and I remember it took care of the problem.

We used to watch The Mindy Project and we REALLY liked it, but then we turned our noses on it once her and Danny got together.

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com March 24, 2017, 12:30 pm

We use a medicine called Advantage. It comes in a little tube and I squeeze it out onto the back of her neck onto her skin (I part her fur so I can see skin) and then I lock her in the laundry room for a few hours (with her food, bed, toys, etc).

Yeah, I’m not a huge fan of her and Danny together. Although I loved the episode when he was “Diamond Dan.”

  • Wendy@Taking the Long Way Home March 24, 2017, 2:15 pm

I’ve been watching Shameless on Netflix, which I think you would love.

No poo obstruction for me. Never have, never will. RA is making sure of that!

    Obsessed with sleep.

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com March 24, 2017, 3:38 pm

My dad told me to watch that show. I started watching it yesterday but it was just a bit too dysfunctional for me. I like my TV to be light and fluffy. I’ve got enough dysfunction in my REAL life, kwim?

I’ve never been constipated IN MY LIFE. I’m still able to poop pretty much on command! Which is why I never would have guessed that I have an obstruction, but my nurse friend knew what she was talking about because I took the meds this morning and my stomach has been feeling better and better with each passing hour. My farts are unreal.

  • San March 25, 2017, 11:46 am

    I love the Currently-posts! 🙂

Can you believe I’ve never had a breakfast sandwich??

Hope you like the book 😉

    I am currently watching
    … needing more coffee,
    … eating Noosa yogurt,
…dealing with a headache (going on day three),
and… obsessed with my new Ravennas.

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com March 26, 2017, 9:04 pm

I hope your headache is gone by now! I’ve only heard good things about Ravennas.

  • Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets March 28, 2017, 12:05 pm

I need a triple O and I don’t mean the sauce. My mother is in town so it’ll be a minute before that can happen. 🙂

When I was pregnant, I craved all the fried fatty crabs. French fries and onion rings were my jam. Truth be told, they still are. Oops.
