Mileage Merry Christmas Monday

Happy Christmas! My name is Suzy, and I take no running breaks. So, here is my mileage from last week (70 total).

Monday– I ran 5 miles early in the morning and then 6 miles later on while Callum was at preschool.

Tuesday– I squeeeeeezed this run in by the hair on my chinny chin chin, which I don’t really have, but I have a few that grow out of the mole on my cheek. 9 miles on the treadmill with the last 3 at 7:03 min/mile pace.

Wednesday– Just a slow 8 mile treadmill run. I’m gearing down and saving energy for a huge training run this weekend.

Thursday– Another easy 10 mile treadmill run while I conserve energy for my long run this weekend.

Friday– Another slow 8 mile treadmill run.

Saturday– Well, that was a shitty run. I signed up for Phoenix, booked flights and hotel and then had the crappiest run to date. I was planning on doing an 18 miler with 13 miles at marathon race pace but it was icy and windy so I turned around and finished it on the treadmill instead. I did 18 miles but I only did 6 at 6:49 pace.

Sunday– 6 miles outside in the fuh-REEZING cold to round out a 70 mile week.

Unfortunately I’m injured so days off are a thing now :(. I don’t take very many though, I usually try to get in something. My gym is closed on Christmas so it’ll just be PT exercises. Normally I do the elliptical or arc trainer for an hour since I can’t run right now.

You had a really great week. Don’t worry about one bad run, usually that happens when I sign up for a race too and I worry, but the important thing is to have a good run on race day even if the ones leading up to it are kinda lackluster.

    Merry Christmas Suzy!

I don’t have a mole on my cheek, just sun spots so sadly no sprouting hairs there. Blows kiss.
