Well, my mileage crept up to 60 miles this week, mostly because of my unexpected run with Lora on Saturday. I’m still loving my strength routine!
Monday– I ran 6 miles outside in the dark morning and then finished up on the treadmill with 2 miles at 6:40 min/mile pace. Also did strength stuff.
Tuesday– I was supposed to go outside but ended up back on the treadmill. I averaged 8 min/miles for the first 6 and then 7:13 min/miles for the last 3!
Wednesday– I took it to the gym for this one! First I tried the Rec Centre but the childminding was disgusting so we left and went to the gym next to where we live. Callum still cried a bit but they were great with him in there! I squeezed in 9 swift miles before I picked him up. Then I did my strength routine once we got home.
Thursday– I did 7 miles on the treadmill and then finished with 2 miles at 6:40 min/miles. Then I got diarrhea. So, even though I’m dying to run outside, it was probably a good thing that I was close to a potty.
Friday– I ran 6 hilly miles pushing Callum in the running stroller and then I did 3 7-min miles later on the treadmill! Also did strength stuff.
Saturday– SO GREAT! I had a few hours without Callum! THIS NEVER HAPPENS. So Katie and took off for Lora’s house so she could hang out with Lora’s kids while Lora and I went for a 10 mile run together. THERAPY IN THE BEST WAYS.
Sunday– I woke up at 5:45, drove Jake to work and then ran 6 easy miles in the dark! It felt really good to get this done early. Strength stuff after my shower. I had to warm up; I was FREEZING.
Any mamas out there ever struggle with finding a gym with good childcare? It’s brutal around here!
