My goal was to run 70 miles this week (I’m supposed to be tapering) but I crept up closer to 80 miles. So yeah, I ran 80 miles this week. I SWEAR I WILL RUN LESS NEXT WEEK. It was so hard keeping it at 80. Don’t judge.
Monday- Super slow ass-dragging 10 mile treadmill run while Callum slept. I definitely felt yesterday’s 20 miler today. Yowch.
Tuesday– “Track” Tuesday (18 miles total). I did 10 miles earrrrrly this morning at 6am and then when Callum went to bed for his nap I ran my 4×1.5 mile repeats on the treadmill at 6:31 min/mile pace with 800m recoveries. WHY DID THIS SUCK WORSE THAN THE 2x3s?!?! Cumulative fatigue, I guess. What a crazy run.
Wednesday– I ran these 10 miles in the morning again but it’s so hard not to run again in the afternoon because my body is so in the habit. It’s a good thing I ran this morning though because Callum skipped his nap today! 😛
Thursday– I started out with the intention of running at least a few miles at marathon race pace and I just couldn’t do it. Not on the treadmill. So I ended up doing some intervals instead just to get the 11 miles over with.
Friday– I had the chance to run outside (Andrew has the stomach bug now and he came home to have a nap with Callum) so I took the opportunity to do my long run of 16 miles. I got burnt to a CRISP. It’s a cooker out there!
Saturday- 10 miles in the morning blah blah blah early morning runs suck blah blah blah.
Sunday- 5 miles with my little man in the stroller. I was pushing it, although the way my body feels it could be the other way around any time now.
