Monday– I can’t believe I misjudged my long run day! I was supposed to do it last weekend but this was the only day that worked for both me and Lora. This was probably the best 20 mile run I’ve ever done! Lora and I met at 8am and ran 20 miles at an average 7:54 min/mile pace with the last few miles at 7 min/miles. I’m feeling confident! I wish I could bring Lora with me on race day!
Tuesday– 5 early treadmill miles. Slow. Stupid.
Wednesday– Speed work work work work work work. I feel like the queen of the world right now. I ran 6×1 mile repeats at a 6:31 min/mile pace with 400m recoveries which happens to be the exact same workout I did 10 days before the Seattle marathon in June. So….. maybe I’m not that far behind after-all, eh?
Thursday– Just 5 miles around the neighborhood this morning before Freddy and Katie had their high school/middle school orientations.
Friday– Callum had a crazy hot fever last night and woke up hallucinating and freeeeeaking out and didn’t go back to sleep for a few hours so I was too tired to get up and run this morning so I ran an easy 5 later on the treadmill while he napped.
Saturday– 5 treadmill miles in the morning while Callum slept.
Sunday– Okay so, this run is being logged in faith because it hasn’t been done yet. I had to bring Callum to the hospital today (he’s fine–he’s had a fever for 3-4 days and broke out in a rash but it’s just a nasty virus) so I’m waiting for Andrew and Kylah and Ethan to get home from Kylah’s soccer game and then I’m going to go for a 6 mile run so that I can make this a nice and even 55 mile week! Jesus take the wheel.
