My sore heel from last week slowly got better with each passing day and now it feels ship shape. I ran every single mile of this week’s 50 miles on the treadmill because our sidewalks are all frozen. It’s getting a bit tedious, although I am thankful that we have a treadmill here at home. I can’t imagine having to drag Callum to the gym every day!
Monday– I put the treadmill on an incline to take pressure off my heel, and ran 8 miles at an 8 min/mile pace.
Tuesday– A slow and easy 5 miles on the treadmill this morning. And then my van wouldn’t start so I was stuck at home all day and decided to run out the anger for another 5 miles.
Wednesday– Just a slow and easy 5 on the treadmill.
Thursday– I warmed up for 2 miles, then did 6×1 mile repeats at a 6:40 min/mile pace and then cooled down for 1200m to make it 10 miles total. I recovered for 400m between mile repeats.
Friday– Slow and easy 5 miles on the treadmill.
Saturday– A solid 6 miler on the treadmill at an average 7 min/mile clip.
Sunday– I had to get up at 5:45 to drive Jake to work so I just came back and ran 6 miles on the treadmill. I can’t wait to be able to run outside again!
