Week in Review: Good Finds

Linking up with Meghan (and her brand new baby girl!) from Clean Eats Fast Feets for this week’s Week in Review.

I have a shit tonne of pictures. I charged up my old iPhone and found a couple gems on there. Here is a photo of me kissing my littlest:IMG_7676

And of me kissing my oldest when he was little:

Who now plays rugby and ends up looking like this after his games:

I found this on my Instagram feed and instantly loved it, because being an asshole is way worse than pretty much anything else. I know this by the times in my life where I have woken up, looked into the mirror and saw an arse. Pass the whiskey.

We had unreal weather last week! So much sun! Temps hit the high 20’s (Celcius) and we all broke out the short shorts. I guess Callum needs time to adjust to the new length.

Okay, so this wasn’t from this week. I found this photo on my old phone. POH-ZERRRR!

Brandy didn’t wear short shorts; she stuck to (Andrew’s dress) pants. She was trying to copy my seductive pose.

Back to the old iPhone pics. I found this screen shot of my and Andrew’s texts:

Feeling nauseous? So was Andrew, after his 20 mile run, the longest training run before BMO Vancouver. YAYAHHHH!

Callum and I supported him out there the best we could but it came time to pack it in and head home to wait for Andrew to finish up. I made him a welcome home gifty. His beloved golden boot shows up in all the big events although it gets a little uncomfortable in bed.

I’m in love with this album, and this is my current favourite song:

It starts out slow but hang in there, it gets good. It’s especially sick with a decent sound system. My Honda Odyssey has never sounded so cool. Ha ha! Riiiiiiight.

Do you guys have old phones that have photos or info on them that you don’t have anywhere else? How do you make sure you don’t lose them?

What was your weather like last week?

Looks like a fun week! Our weather sucked. Cold. Dreary. Rainy. And it’s like that today, too. Rainy days and Mondays always get me down. Paul saves his phone stuff on an SD card.

Well, the PNW is usually cold, dreary and rainy so I totally feel your pain. As fast as we took out our short shorts we had to put them back and bring out the leggings and hoodies. Damnitall.

Aww, love all the pics! Ben backs or pics up so I don’t lose them. I just have shit ton of them saved.

When are you guys coming back to AZ???

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com April 11, 2016, 10:23 pm

My cousins are having a baby soon so we’ll be down there in no time, I am sure!

I guess there are worse things than a golden boot to make it to bed with you. It doesn’t have spikes or anything like that, nor does it make noise or watch you unnecessarily.

      Spikes could make things interesting…

Love the pictures! John and his dad used to play rugby, but stopped when John’s dad broke his collarbone!! Rough sport!
    That text exchange is awesome.
I have so many pictures on my phone- some that are embarrassing and I’m waiting for just the right time to pull them out!

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com April 12, 2016, 12:49 pm

Rugby is WAY too rough, I hate it. I love how good Jake is at it, but I hate the sound of their heads hitting the grass. OKAY I DON’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT ANYMORE. *plugging years* “la la la la”

I feel like a weirdo because I always delete the photos off of my phone. Most people would freak out if they lost their phone because of all the pictures, but I could care less! Any pics that I really like I usually share on social media or get printed. If it’s lost- oh well! Just a pic (but I do love yours!)

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com April 12, 2016, 12:48 pm

You probably should delete those photos, Gretchen! They’re probably all inappropro. LOL kidding. Naughty minx.

Our weather last week. FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK. Well, it ranged from “I can wear shorts and a tank top” to “oh hey let’s just have a random April SNOWSTORM”.

Callum’s cheeks. They are the cutest things ever. As are the shorts in your amazing handstand photo with the lace trim. LOVE. Excited for Andrew and his 20 miler!!!!! YASSSSSS!!

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com April 12, 2016, 12:48 pm

Yeah, he nailed it. I am so relieved that he was able to do that long run. He is in SUCH a better spot now for this marathon than he was for the one in Arizona. I don’t think he likes feeling pressured, but I can’t help but be excited for him.

What a fun week you had! Let’s hope the beautiful weather comes back and stays!
I keep all my photos backed up to iCloud and then save the good ones to my computer and/or Google Drive. Somewhere around here is my old Android but I don’t know how much I want to view old photos from my college years!

    • suzy.suzyheather@gmail.com April 12, 2016, 12:45 pm

Oh my college years were actually the most righteous ones of my entire life, believe it or not. And back then we didn’t have cell phones, so all my soccer pics and stuff are all printed out. I should post a couple some day!

Callum is such a cutie. Maybe we can hook him up with Ave.

I have an old photo of me lying semi-seductively in the back of a vintage pick up truck. My father in law saw it on my phone one day when I was showing him other pictures. Thank god I was clothed. Still, awkward though.
